Bio



Dylan Franks is a Texas-based filmmaker, editor, and educator, committed to making the tools of video production accessible to local storytellers within their communities, regardless of systemic divide.

After studying rhetoric and community filmmaking at Bates College, Dylan worked as a teacher and curriculum specialist for the New Orleans Video Access Center (NOVAC) and as a frequent collaborator on grassroots film projects. Dylan then joined the team at The Last Mile, where he is currently developing a new video post-production program for incarcerated individuals.
